We have worked hard to get donations and sponsorship from various individuals and non-partisan organizations. We are proud to say that as of today, we are able to subsidize a small number of outstation students (students not from the Bay Area of California) to attend this forum.

The subsidy amount will range from $30 to $50 per student attending this forum. This subsidy is to reduce the total travelling expenditure for the student. Note that this sponsorship does not cover the registration fee of $5 per student. The number of students that will be awarded is limited. The decision of the organizers are final.

To apply for this subsidy, you must show us proof that you're a resident student of a school / university in the United States. All applications must be submitted by Saturday, February 22, 2004. Late entries will not be considered. If you submitted your application before February 14, you'll be notified on the next Monday, i.e. February 16, 2004 about the result. If you submitted later than that you'll only find out on the day of the forum. This subsidy will be given to you during the day of the forum.

To apply for this subsidy, please follow the instructions below:

1. Sign up for the event.
2. Compose an e-mail that answers the following 3 questions in no more than 150 words in total:
   • Why do want to attend this forum?
   • How can you contribute to this forum?
   • Describe briefly your past experiences in any social / Malaysian / voluntary / co-curricular / etc. activities or organizations.
3. Check to make sure that the total number of words in the e-mail that you wrote is less than 150 words.
4. Write "Students Sponsorship Application" as the title of the e-mail.
5. Write your
   • Full Name
   • University / School that you're currently attending
   • Contact preference
   at the very top of the e-mail that you just wrote.
6. Send that e-mail to register@malaysiaforum.org by Saturday, February 14, 2004.

That's it! Show us that you're really a good student by following the instructions above and we'll try hard to make sure that you get the sponsorship. Evaluation will be based on a number of criteria, including but not limited to: distance, interest, and how much we resonate with your aspirations :-)
